The Art of It All

What have you learned about yourself or the world as a result of living through the COVID-19 pandemic? Your challenge is to express your experience of living through this historic time through a work of art.

Earth United

Summary

The Earth we know, that was combobulated with all kinds of conflicts and war has been mysteriously united against this common foe the "coronavirus," yesterday's fiercest enemies are now the dearest companions in the search for a cure, but this truly mesmerizing situation isn't thought of by many people, so we are trying to show it by a portrait that would hopefully stick with us even after the common foe disappears.

How We Addressed This Challenge

We're showing the consequences of living through this situation and hopefully surviving with a portrait which would convey our feelings in the most elegant way we could think of.

How We Developed This Project

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but true art is limitless and timeless so our intentions with this project were to show the positive effects of a seemingly all negative situation.
the approach we took was very straight forward, we brainstormed, came out with some ideas, discussed them and negated the worthless ones, and decided on the best of the proposed, after that we were out to create the resources that can be combined to form our idea.
We used adobe photoshop, illustrator, and discord. Arabic and English were the languages and Hp laptops were the hardware used.
The problems we faced were the incomplete communication that was partially bridged by using discord, but alongside the problems and the long, hard working hours, we acquired some very promising skills regarding art and especially ways of using photoshop and other programs to creatively create and modify it, thus we're looking forward to get advantage of these skills and also develop them in the future.
