Living in these uncertain times was a unique experience for all of us. Through this video, we wanted to express our own, based on our point of view. Everything started when Anda, Eneida, Meki, and me (Dea) started to discuss how the coronavirus had affected our lives and how we could express this through art. The first thing that came in our minds when we were discussing how everything changed so unexpectedly was the series we watched when we were kids: “Avatar: The Last Airbender”. This made us start with the script, inspired by the opening of the ATLA. Although we preserved the rhythm, we changed the words to fit our context too. Unlike the Avatar, we live in the real world and the heroes are found only among us, therefore the heroes during this pandemic have been the essential workers: nurses and doctors, teachers, police, social workers, and many more. In our video, we created the characters and animation using Krita. Video editing is done with Camtasia. The audio editing and music (produced by Anda) were made in FL Studio. On the other hand, we used images and videos that were provided by the resources of NASA to better express the global impact of this virus and how we could overcome this together.
