The light after darkness

Summary

Our project is an artwork that reflects the situation during the period of COVID-19's existence, how we dealt with these conditions, and how we eliminated frustration and depression. How did we benefit from the isolation in space and from NASA and we collected all this in a video and we looked at life with a look full of hope because we know that after this darkness the light will come. the video encourage people not to be frustrated and to exploit the quarantine.

How We Addressed This Challenge

by encouraging people to exploit the quarantine in useful things like doing exercises in home to stay healthy, studying online, communicating online with different people from different cultures and taking useful courses. the video drives people to feel hopeful and remove any frustration feeling by explaining that there is a light after any darkness and that what happened can be opportunity to change them.

How We Developed This Project

The importance of artistic works is one of the things that there is no doubt at all, in which I can make my own world and achieve what is in my mind, so we chose this challenge. Another reason for choosing this challenge is that we saw its important to bring the optimistic for people by an interesting way that attract different ages and give them some advices.

Our goal was to make the world devoid of COVID-19, but unfortunately we were unable to do so in reality. so, we decided to make a video that include encouragements to people and we developed it by putting some advices for spectators to avoid COVID-19 challenge and reduce its spreading.

In our project, we were able to benefit from the sources and information provided by NASA about isolation in space. And we did our project through a special web page for creating an animation called powtoon.

Initially, we faced many problems such as not challenging or not exploiting the sources, but we worked as a team and divided the works on each other and we were able to complete our project to the fullest and we hope that you like it.

Data & Resources

1. NASA Social Isolation :

■ We know that crew members have been staying in space for months-long

missions living on the International Space Station with only a few other

people Astronauts experience various aspects of social isolation and

confinement during their missions.

2.The Human Body in Space:

■ Space is a dangerous, unfriendly place. Isolated from family

and friends, exposed to radiation that could increase your

lifetime risk for cancer, a diet high in freeze-dried food, required

daily exercise to keep your muscles and bones from

deteriorating, a carefully scripted high-tempo work schedule,

and confinement with three co-workers picked to travel with

you by your boss.

3.World Health Organization:

■ we Take advantage from it by taking instructions and advices on how

to protect yourself from co-vied 19

4.Nasa YouTube channel ,NASA

gallery:

■ We also benefited from NASA YouTube channel and NASA gallery and

saw previous experiences and pictures that some of us use

5.NASA Monitors Environmental

Signals From Global Response to

COVID-19:

■ As the world continues to respond and recover from COVID-19’s impacts, NASA’s

Earth-observing satellites and ground sensors will keep measuring our planet’s

response during this very unusual time.

Finally ,the isolation at space similar to the isolation we live in these days, but

the difference is that the astronauts know when their isolation will

end, but unfortunately we do not know, this prompted us to work out

artwork to mix these events, and benefit from solving the problem of

isolation in space.
