This project is challenging because it involves a complex chain of stakeholders, where everyone needs to cooperate for the solution to work.
This theme inspired us due to the high amount of food consumed wasted, 1/3 of all that is produced on the planet, with projections to double that number in 30 years. The biggest offender is fruits and vegetables with 50% waste.
With a COVID-19, this project should increase with the difficulties of production due to the variation of the values
of goods and other cultural items, less power of manpower, logistics and purchase of retail in general.
On the other hand, the increase in the purchase of food from the final consumer to generate income and own consumption.
We believe that to help reverse this situation, an efficient and simple solution is the creation of sustainable markets to manage the consumption of wasted consumables between producers and distribution. Where deformed foods do not usually go to retail, for example, the final consumer analyzes the aesthetics of the food when buying.
The objective of this sustainable market is to sort these foods and separate or sell to retail, the deformed ones sold to consumers by partners such as Ifood, Uber eats and cheaper prices, no matter the aesthetics on account that will be processed for the products for sale. โ. Finally, non-consumable foods can be used for fertilizers and passed on to producers.
Deformed products that will not be sold will be used as ONGs.
With this project, a project is to gradually reduce despair and reach 0%!
