Food for Thought

Your challenge is to consider the journey of food to your plate, determine how disruptions from the COVID-19 pandemic are affecting the food supply locally and globally, and propose solutions to address these issues.

Koronis - Soil is calling for you

Summary

Koronis is a platform to assist you to grow plants at home by yourself without any extra effort.

How We Addressed This Challenge

There are people concerned about their most primary need, food. Most of the people around

the world have been under lockdown and stayed home for the last few months. Many of us

have developed unhealthy habits, and it effects our immunity. This issue invites many other

diseases inevitably. So we came with the idea of assisting people growing their own edible

plants at home.

How We Developed This Project

We got familiar with global food issues by making research about the data that from NASA,

WFP and FAO’s public databases. According to our research its possible to grow edible

plants at home and we came across of methods of how to get highest yield from the plants.

Combining these and some guides to assist beginners, we designed a conceptual platform.

Major problems we had are convincing people they can do it and convincing people they

don’t need to spend a fortune to get started growing plants at home. Actually the only thing

you need is the seeds themselves.
