Food for Thought

Your challenge is to consider the journey of food to your plate, determine how disruptions from the COVID-19 pandemic are affecting the food supply locally and globally, and propose solutions to address these issues.

An AI based approach to save agriculture land and improve supply chain.

Summary

As COVID lockdown and pandemic continues, there is a delay in sending equipment, emergency supplies and also manpower lags. When COVID 19 is slowing down the food supply, the major locust's swarm is creating a crisis within a crisis in major parts of the world. Our solution focuses on, finding the anomalies in the agriculture land and detecting the most affected areas as soon as possible.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Our product, analyses real-time satellite imagery data to automatically alert about the risk as soon as possible. In addition to that, the language model-based system analyses sentiments from news and social media to identify the most affected places and those who need support immediately. This approach helps to prioritize the supply chain. The COVID-19 hotspots dashboard helps to get help from the nearby safest areas.
