The COVID-19 pandemic has a direct effect on the proposed mobile app development as it addresses the problem of the fishers in how they can sell their goods locally. The mobile app will create a marketplace for fishing communities to get a fair value of their catch and also correctly document their activities for better management and sustainability. In this situation, we need to guard and implement proper documentation of the food supply chain to avoid shortages, oversupply, and overpricing. Electronic documentation and traceability need to be adopted and implemented to minimize human-to-human contact.
