Your challenge is to consider the journey of food to your plate, determine how disruptions from the COVID-19 pandemic are affecting the food supply locally and globally, and propose solutions to address these issues.

Summary

The main challenge of reducing the impacts caused by the pandemic on the food supply chain was attributed to the difficulty of access to food by people with low income. The solution arose from the integration of the food production and distribution sectors that can directly affect food security, especially for people with difficulties in acquiring food. The Unlock Food Farm, in addition to service six of the ten overall goals proposed by the UN. Our project will be responsible for assisting the needy population.

How We Addressed This Challenge

The Unlock Farm Food project addresses the proposed challenge. For serving as an intermediary between small farmers and low-income consumers.

How We Developed This Project

In recent months, due to Covid 19, the food production chain, the economy and the world population have been affected. In Brazil this was no different. Unlock Farm Food was developed to reduce these impacts. The data at NASA was used to create graphs to be able to make a better analysis of the current scenario regarding the production, sale, distribution and access to food. We used the follow tools Github, Javascript, Trello, Picart, Audacity, Movie maker, MYSQL, HTML, CSS, Bottsatrap, Google docs, Google Drive and Video Editor Windows. We had a little trouble finding and working with the information in the databases.
