Our project uses data provided by NASA and others and analysed by our team members to predict the next potential burst of the"Infection Bubble". It helps people acknowledge the threats and provides them with guidelines that can assist them in staying unaffected. It basically paints a lucid picture using graphs and satellite images compiled by our team members to anticipate the next possible infection bubble and help people prepare better for it. It uses factors like weather conditions, SDOH, population density and more to pinpoint vulnerable areas.
Our team was inspired by plague.inc and the data and guidelines WHO provides on its website, our project attempts to fix some of the shortcomings of the website the organization hosts and makes the information more accessible which helps people who are less familiar with websites and technology in general prepare better. As mentioned earlier our team used the data provided by open data to precisely identify the locations, age groups, economic groups and more who are indisputably at a higher risk of infection. In addition to the data and resources provided, we used porkbun to make the actual domain. We had hoped on making the website more spectacular and more user friendly but due to the short amount of time we had, we couldn't execute most of our vision. We also planned on using AI to analyse and update the data automatically when new data is provided but since we're all high school graduates who are not experts on the field we couldn't implement it.
