The emergence and spread of infectious diseases, like COVID-19, are on the rise. Can you identify patterns between population density and COVID-19 cases and identify factors that could help predict hotspots of disease spread?

Summary

The challenge will be the forecasting and thus the prevention of hotspots of the disease, the solution will be an application in which the authorities, will visualize the current places that exists and can exists, through the statistics, a large number of people gathered, and with this information in hand can make decisions in a much more agile and accurate way, providing the least possible impact on a macro view of society

How We Addressed This Challenge

The project responds to the challenge from the moment it crosses people's geolocation data, using the data provided by NASA of the density population standards, it is a complete solution but with some questions to be polished

How We Developed This Project

The need of a quarentine more efective, the aproach was to treat the problem before it happens in a more focal way, to prevent a generalized shutdown therefore causing less economic impact, we used NASA data(EOSDIS Worlview) to cross with the geolocation data from people so that we can forecast the possible proliferation of the virus. For the geolocalization works we used the library PostGIS that exists into PostgreSQL for the app we used JavaScript, we had to learn how to use PostgreSQL and a way to gather the geolocation of all people withou transpassing their privacy rights
