Human Factors

The emergence and spread of infectious diseases, like COVID-19, are on the rise. Can you identify patterns between population density and COVID-19 cases and identify factors that could help predict hotspots of disease spread?

Summary

The project was made with database from NASA, Partner Agencies, World Health Organization, and internet portals. Gathering and organizing quantitative and qualitative information on the behavior of covid19 disease around the world. So that from that base, it would be possible to find patterns and co-relationships between different data and information, thus achieving more power of action to contain the spread of the virus. The project resulted in a set of model tables that optimize the analisys

How We Addressed This Challenge

After in-depth analysis by the team, 4 key indicators were determined, so two  tables were drawn from them with filtered data to optimize the analysis. One table has quantitative data with key indicators, allowing the creation of deeper graphs and analyzes, and the other has quantitative data and information that allows data overlap, so that it is possible to relate quantitative and qualitative data.

How We Developed This Project

the human factors challenge was chosen because the group aims to help scientists and researchers to develop solutions to the problems generated by the covid-19 pandemic, and that as many people as possible can use our work for this. So we put complex data into simple and accessible tools for that.
