Our website is satiated by information gathered and collected from reliable resources. This information includes population and number of infected cases per each country. These numbers are harnessed within mathematical processes to define and identify regions with a high spread of the virus. Besides, the website provides researchers with factors that when noticed their existence in a region, therefore it is a hotspot where the virus spreads. Upon these factors and the number of infected cases, a gradient is made to show the hotspots of virus spread. Because of all these features, the website can detect hotspots, identify spread factors, and develop relationships between human activity and COVID-19 cases.
We follow the rules of finding the pattern to find the key. Simply, we got it. We think that if you find the patterns of the COVID-19 spread, you will be able to predict how many and where the infections will rise. We decided to predict the number of new cases by following the pattern.
For a project to be successful, it must be implemented by using organized and arranged steps. As a group the first step is to collect much data we can collect about the competition and its purpose, then it was the time to choose the challenge, so we made an online meeting and choose the Human Factors challenge after reading its details carefully. After choosing the challenge we discussed how to solve this challenge and we agreed to make a website that contains the latest news about Covid-19 to increase people’s awareness of Covid-19’s problem and we divided the tasks (codding the website, research, assays and designing the team’s logo, etc.… ) according to our skills and abilities. And by following these steps we made our website which we hope that it will contribute to a solution even if part of Covid-19’s problem.
We have used data from ESA about the reduction of the pollution around Europa and China in the last few months with the spreading of Covid-19 and limitation of the human activities. This observation about the reduction of pollution occurred by specified satellites which measured the reduction of the amounts of nitrogen dioxide and due to that ESA says there was a noticeable reduction of pollution in these regions. we explained depending on data from ESA of this topic on our website.
CSS3 and HTML5 programming languages have been used to design and make the website. Photoshop cc 2020 was used to design visuals, illustrations and graphs of the website and the logo of the team.
Through developing our website, there were problems we have faced and achievements we have made. The problems were the shortage of experience in web developing, the difficulty of communication between the team members, and the use of unreliable resources to gain our information. Our achievements were that we solved those problems by starting to have courses about how to develop a website and grow our experience. We determined a time interval that we must be online to discuss and finish our tasks by using meeting apps. We began to search for reliable resources such as NASA and its agencies. Also, we provide our website with a gradient that facilitates the knowledge of the virus spread hotspots as well as we have succeeded in identifying the factors of the virus spread depending on the conditions of the most infected countries.
