Viruses are produced first because of environmental factors and conditions that do not enter the human being, but its activities contribute to its spread from one place to another or its development. Human activities do not Synthesis the virus, but they contribute significantly to its spread, Whether at the beginning of its spread or after that. Where the first appearance of the virus was in the human activity hunting due to the human dealing with the environment in a wrong way and Hunt animals Our challenge is to prove the relationship of human activities with viruses and we will achieve this through a mobile application that collects all information regarding economic activities and how each activity affects and how it contributes to the increase so that it helps the governments of countries and increases people's awareness when dealing with a specific activity at the same time He will raise awareness of the citizen as a reminder to wash his hands and give him the advice in to preserve himself and not get sick The application will contain information about the virus, methods of prevention, and predictions of future numbers.
We chose this challenge because we see the crisis of COVID-19 with a different perspective, more than it is just here because of a specific wild animal or because of environmental circumstances, we see that the viruses’ spread is mainly based on the human activities and their interactions. Things like agriculture, industry, and trade have managed to be a great base for those animals to transmit the disease from animals to humans, and so trade activities such as selling wildlife are considered the main reason for the spread of the virus.
And also we see that the main key factor for this epidemic to finish is to increase the awareness between people, which our project concentrated on. The mindset we took as we approached the thinking of this project is to make a tool to raise awareness between people to follow guidelines lines and at the same time make the best out of the information from other countries which have already overcome the virus, and so our first step was to search about the different human activities conducted before and after the virus, and how they affected the virus, either in spreading it before it was emitted or after the visit spread, how did stopping these activities affect the numbers?
Then we made a comparison between different countries which managed to decrease the numbers which helped us detect how the human activities have had a huge impact on the spread, and then last we developed the project by making sure to use latest technologies to help the app, taking in considerations how our phones are the most used during this time, we decided to use the radiators coming out from it to detect human contact and send notifications about being away according to WHO’s restrictions.
NASA’s geographical mapping information helped us detect the places around the word with definite human activities and the hotspots for the spread of the virus according to these activities, helping us study the virus in specific areas around the world, whether big cities or rural areas, comparing them in the progress. To develop the radiation technology in the app, satellite information from NASA requires specifying places as well.
We used software on our project mainly since it’s an app, languages like python and CSS would help greatly in programming such complicated feature inside the app, and to make them reach phones of people and communicate with the information of NASA.
Problems faced were mainly trying to align different ideas of searches into the app to provide a full packaged help guidance app for people through the virus, and so to connect the dots between these different ideas, we tried finding common actors and different features inside the app, and the achievements were the successful alignment of the ideas into one app that would provide not only people but governments along to be able to help each other to fulfill different supplements and needs inside the epidemic time.
