The category our project fits in better is the “Better Mission Concept” one. Our project is strong in this category because we tried to solve problems caused by human factors related to crowdings. Solving these problems, the Covid-19 dissemination would be decreased and future problems would be prevented. Furthermore, to think about our project development, we had to analyze what our mission asks for, in other words, we went deep into the concepts of how the human factors work in the Covid-19 dissemination.
The fact that inspired us to choose this challenge is that our team has a good base on how human factors affect the world, as we have a member that is college graduated in social sciences. Despite that, we thought this would be a great opportunity to help save the world.
Our approach to developing our project was mainly searching projects that somehow helped the world and trying to inspire ourselves with that, as well as gathering data to make our project reliable and scientifically and technologically.
We mainly used space agency data in our project to do some research on how populous areas affect viruses disseminations, but we also used them as a manner to keep our Oh My Crowd software functional.
Our team didn't have a graduate programmer and because of that, we were not able to program our software. We based ourselves in the USA's meteorologic system and in Google's tool that locates natural disasters.
