Currently, the world has been hit with a pandemic, specifically the COVID-19 pandemic. As of today, more than 4 million cases are confirmed, with over 200,000 deaths recorded. This global pandemic has affected a lot of people around the world, as most noticeably there’s an impact on the economy and some of the people have lost their jobs because of it. A majority of the citizens are afraid to go out of their house, as there’s no applications that have accurate tracking for the COVID-19 spread. This project helps the society to properly adapt to the new norm of social distancing and other strict rules and regulations while prohibiting unnecessary travelling that would directly reduce the number of positive Covid-19 cases in countries.
The app will allows people to report incidents, misconducts and violations of mco/coronavirus law in Malaysia. Users will be able to report operations of nonessential businesses (hair salons etc), large social gatherings and non-compliance of health and sanitary orders (if workers don’t wear masks or provide hand sanitizers, or they allow more than a certain amount of people in to the shop). Other users within a 1km radius will be able to see reported misconducts in a map and either agree/disagree with the report with a thumbs up button. Reports will straight be directed to the police (for immediate response). Accurate reports will be awarded points and incorrect reports will be fined and banned from reporting in the future. Users that did not get approval for interstate travel are required to select and confirm a destination location if they want to leave home. Then, once the user is at the destination location, they have to “check in'' with the app. The app will then allow the user to be out of their homes at that location only and if the user wants to travel or leave the location, they would have selected and confirmed a destination location within 10 minutes, or the app self-reports to the authority. We would use NASA's satellite images and Covid tracker as our app's resources. Programming languages such as HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript and PHP would be used to develop the app. Software's such as Google Maps (GPS), Bluetooth, and WiFi would enable user to view and interact with the app.
