The emergence and spread of infectious diseases, like COVID-19, are on the rise. Can you identify patterns between population density and COVID-19 cases and identify factors that could help predict hotspots of disease spread?

Summary

Our solution is an eyeglass for personal use for healthcare professionals that is allocated in acrylic masks and is connected with patient data in real time and their average history. To capture data "live" we will use bracelets that are connected to the BD and collect information such as temperature and blood pressure. This solution is important because the contamination rates of doctors and nurses are very high, making them unmotivated and afraid. In addition, hospitals are overcrowded and disorganized.

How We Addressed This Challenge

The heart of the Human Factors challenge is to explore the relationship between certain human activities and the incidence and concentration of covid-19. Thus, our team examined the health zone and realized that these environments are major focuses and points of spread of the disease, being responsible for the high risks and high levels of contamination of doctors, nurses and nursing technicians. For this reason, our team sought to develop a solution that could help manage this problem, optimizing the work of professionals who are working directly on the front lines of fighting the disease. And where there are lots of people that don't respect social distancing, the climate pollution is bigger, influencing several climate problems and hospitals, that get more crowded.

How We Developed This Project

We chose this challenge because we believe that it is important to act directly on the points that can be the focus of the disease. Approach: After research, we found that health professionals are at risk group and, based on this statement, we understand that helping the professional in his work reduces his contamination and also increases his productivity. Analyzing the news and information obtained on the national sites, we realized that the largest number of contaminated is in the metropolitan regions, thus, using the sites https://earthdata.nasa.gov/learn/pathfinders/covid-19 and https: // sedac .ciesin.columbia.edu / data / collection / gpw-v4 #, we were able to demonstrate this concentration. It appears, then, that where there is a bigger concentration of people, there is also a bigger possibility of contagion of the disease, which results in the overcrowding of hospitals and, consequently, in the increased risk of contagion of health professionals. We used Discord, Google Hangouts and Google Meet tools for online group meetings, Google Drive for making the project files, Figma for design and Paint 3D for prototyping. The biggest problem that our team faced was the range of challenges presented by the event, adding the enormous need for a solution to the pandemic COVID-19, leaving the group in doubt as to the project's fidelity in relation to the theme (including, we needed to change challenges throughout the hackathon). In addition, we also face setbacks in terms of time and internet connection, as our team is made up of members from around the country, making the journey even more exciting!
