Based on the challenge of analyzing and addressing solutions to the human factors which potentialize the spread of COVID-19. We found out, correlating information gathered from different sources, that neighborhoods with higher population density were the ones with a higher percentage of cases. This project is expected to convey this information easily to the population, trying to inform them about the risks that intense levels of human contact (promoted by the population densities) has during this period. The software also can inform people about the situation in each part of the city, diminishing the number of people who will go to that region unnecessarily, while it is not safe.
Through collectively analyzing NASA’s space data and reviewing the challenge, we came up with a solution that seeks to facilitate access to information and help people make more informed decisions. We went through a brainstorming process to determine which features and layout we wanted for our app, deciding on keeping the information simple and direct to keep the app as user friendly as possible. We researched the necessary data, adjusted the algorithm, designed the logo and branding, and planned other app features, talking regularly in checkpoints, every three hours, to compare our work and set new deadlines and objectives. We reserved most of the second day to adjust the details, reviewing the design, and preparing the presentation.
