This project fits the proposed challenge, as it integrates the observation of the number of deaths and infected by COVID-19 with the high increase in the unemployment rate. Its solution consists of analyzing and understanding the behavior of these data, associated with other relevant variables, in order to project the possible job scenarios and help the population to have information about their future in the job market, allowing people to prepare and have a less uncertain future.
The team carried out a survey on the increase in unemployment rates in different countries, which occurred in the period resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. With that, the opportunity was observed to evaluate the effects that this can cause in the lives of people in terms of employability. Thus, we had the idea of creating EPIC-19 (Explore, Propose, Improve for COVID-19), a website that will inform the population about future projections in different sectors of the labor market. This platform will have APIs for data entry such as HDI of the region, GDP of the region, number of cases and deaths by COVID-19, number of inhabitants, unemployment rate and data reported by users (professional area) and will make a correlation statistics and processing based on machine learning of the other relevant variables to generate results for the user.
