We are the Rockcript Team, a student of systems at UNLP and a passionate about electronics and music.
We chose the challenge ¨An Integrated Assessment¨, which consists of devising a visual tool to communicate the economic impacts of COVID-19 in certain regions of the American continent since the effects of unemployment, transport, etc. are a subject that involves us all and it is important that we are aware of this.
Our objective is to promote interest and knowledge of the problem through a simple tool that is easily accessible to anyone. From our point of view, we believe that although there is a lot of scientific information about the problems of the present pandemic, not all people can access it or have the knowledge to interpret it and extrapolate it to concrete facts. To solve this, we propose to create a wide virtual community of people who participate actively, where through it the possible economic effects of each region are made known and users can comment on them, generating a more empathic and closer impact.
What does it consist of?
Our visualization tool consists of an interactive website available to the whole society for free called Rockcript.
The website consists of a home page that contains the silhouette and outline of the region studied, in our site as an example: Argentina, Mexico and the United States. Also, in this home page we find a button which allows the collaborators to upload their experience through a commentary, explaining the data; place where the event occurred due to the Covid-19. In this way, the page will locate the files in the corresponding place extracted from sources provided by NASA, JAXA, ESA, CSA because they are verified and mostly reliable data.
In a section below, there are a series of photos of graphics of economic effects that have occurred; by zooming in on each file, you can see more information about that event.

For the name we chose the word Rockcript since it generates a rapprochement to be able to contribute together with the whole community of users.
We chose the slogan "We all take care of each other" referring to the open system that our website has in which anyone can collaborate by entering a file of their reality and thus help spread their situation to the rest of the community.
How will this be done?
The website will be created in php with a minimalist, simple, and interactive interface, so that it is available to anyone and we will use a responsive to adapt to any device.
How is the information on our website regulated?
Our web page will have moderators who will regulate the content to be published, and a reporting system, in charge of the users, so that possible errors are corrected.
Dissemination of the awareness project
When it comes to disseminating our project, we think that since the most widely used media nowadays are social networks, one way to achieve a fast and massive reach is by using the tools they provide us with such as hashtags, filters; on platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, etc.
Goals and objectives for the future
Acquire a program to recruit independent volunteers who wish to help and/or contribute to these events. Volunteers should register, specifying the area they will be involved with, and then receive alerts when content starts to be uploaded.
Through chat and forums, we hope that people can communicate and organize themselves to act collectively and independently and that in the future our platform will be a tool to provide solutions to this problem.
