The Isolation Solution

Social distancing policies enacted the world over during the COVID-19 pandemic have left many people socially isolated. Your challenge is to develop innovative solutions to combat social isolation.

Anonimartists

Summary

Anonimartists is an application that allows the creation of a diary/blog through which one seeks to know the state of the person during some event, in this case, the day to day of what it is to live the social isolation during the COVID-19.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Let me take back the next sentence... "Even before COVID-19, it was recognized that prolonged social isolation can adversely affect our health and well-being." This is not a new issue in our society, it is known that this isolation and confinement can also increase the risk of depression.

Our team focuses on this uncertainty. We know, first-hand, how stressful it can be not to take a simple walk in the park, meet with friends, share moments with loved ones, and so on.

How We Developed This Project

We are developing an application that allows you to keep track of your day to day life through this type of events sharing artistic/multimedia content and thus generate a tentative psychological profile of the user, that is to say, it generates a psychological template to know what your mood is. This user data is stored in a database, along with the metadata provided by GeneLAB. In the event that the user experiences unfavorably each of the questions asked, the application through geolocation determines your location, and offers you from the NIH database, different types of tips to improve your quality of life, for example: how to cope with stress, what to do in case we consume many news referred to the COVID-19, and also in case you require some assistance from a health professional, such as psychologists, among others.

We used the open data provided by the different space agencies, such as G-portal of JAXA, for the geolocation as well as for the minute-by-minute monitoring of the COVID-19 both the number of infections, deaths, as well as what happens around those affected areas with the "isolates" in each of the houses of their cities by the pandemic;  We also use the metadata of Genelab, to provide data from NIH (National Institutes of Health) to provide the necessary assistance to the user, as well as the API nickname that provides images of NASA that is updated over the days.

We use the following tools to develop our App/web:

Framework: Angular

WebApp Angle Module

Hosting and Database: Firebase

DNS record: neustar

Throughout the event we had problems with one of the members who could not connect due to problems with the hardware of his personal computer, also the time differences between different team members played its leading role, but this did not hurt us when carrying out the project, nor to collect information on the subject we decided to address, we could establish a link with each of the team members, and all this we took the experience of working together with completely different people from different cities, and different realities.
