The Isolation Solution

Social distancing policies enacted the world over during the COVID-19 pandemic have left many people socially isolated. Your challenge is to develop innovative solutions to combat social isolation.

Summary

By understanding the parallel between the necessary training for an Astronaut to be isolated for a long period of time and how people are being forced to stay at home and away from, amongst other places, their sacred institutions, our team has found that the search for personal purpose can be reinvented. Fidem is looking to bring religious institutions into people's homes and smartphones, giving them a chance to reaffirm and find their purpose. Our research shows that this project is viable.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Thinking of the people whose main activity is to attend their Church during the week, besides the situation provided by the Epidemic hinder the daily activities, it also interferes in the religious activity that is fundamental in the life of many. Therefore, it was concluded that individuals of all age groups who engage in these activities find in their lives another void during periods of Quarantine or Lockdown.

How We Developed This Project

We relate the OVID-19 pandemic and Religion, and about how people can feel distant from their Faith by not attending any physical space as usual. In this way, one can relate the present moment to the prolonged time when Astronauts are isolated in space, and the introspection and security necessary in themselves to overcome this period. In this way, our mission has become to bring the Faith of each one into their home, bringing people closer to their religious institutions and bringing reaffirmation to each one more easily, encouraging them to share with others to do the same when necessary.
