As explained in the problematization, we developed a small platform where people who suffer from psychological problems as a result of social isolation can make confessions anonymously on the site. Most of the time these people have no one to talk to, tell their pains, needs, wants, maybe our platform will be the last cry for help from someone desperate, looking for a friendly shoulder to confess something.
We did a little online research and found that 90% of respondents would not make a confession or tell anyone about their problems. Most said that they can no longer stand this isolation, because thoughts torture them every day, where self-mutilation happens. We conclude that they will not seek psychological help, as many are ashamed or afraid and this can lead to suicide. Where professionals can collect this data and help these people.
We realized that NASA data on insulation tips does not apply to ordinary people, as they are space professionals, and we are not on a space shuttle. The unstructured family can cause more pain in someone than the vacuum of space.
We have many friends and acquaintances who are experiencing this problem, that was the reason for our choice. We want to help as many people as possible, and as it is a hackaton, we use the Extreme Programming (XP) approach. We use NASA data to see if our problem affects only one group of people or several groups, regardless of location, sex, ethnicity, country, race. The data collected on the NASA website was very valuable to us.
We use in the development of our application: Java Script, ReactJS, NodeJS, Knex, Figma, Photoshop, notbook. We use the most modern languages of web development.
The problems are common in every group, our biggest difficulty was the mastery of technology, because we are beginners in technology and in English, because we speak Portuguese.
Based on NASA data on the problem of social isolation, we created the Pergassus platform, where we saw common patterns in everyone who has been in isolation for months. Our platform is a small scape for people to say what they feel, their pains, wants, among others. The driving force for our project was the data extracted from the links below.
