The project consists in the creating a platform that aims to combat social isolation through the exchange of time and knowledge between people, so that they do not feel alone during the pandemic and can feel useful while learning or teaching a subject.
When logging into the platform the user will need to register their skills and the information needed, in order describe the profile for the artificial intelligence. After completing your registration you will be available to choose the option of entering the rooms to learn or teach, being available to contact someone who wants to learn his skill or be contacted. When the connection between user A and B is established through the user who wants to learn, both are directed to a private room that contains the option of chat and video calling so that they can communicate.
During this connection, the platform will have artificial intelligence to detect offensive words both in chat and on video calls. If detected, the connection will be terminated in real time and may ban the user from the platform. At the end of the communication between users, both will be able to evaluate themselves so that these evaluations can help other people when choosing someone to share knowledge.
We all felt deeply impacted by the mental health consequences of isolation measures, and really wanted to share our conception of how an action of helping someone may no just change their life but also transform how you feel about yourself. We used NASA data sense in order to solve the main issue of our platform, which is the gradual decrease of interest in learning, by having too much effort in content search, thus having an artificial intelligence matching the user profile with NASA occupational data sense, can help the user retention by ranking the best content and teachers.
The project was developed using Figma as an UI tool, VueJS as a framework for the frontend, NodeJS for backend and AWS as host and machine learning provider. As a team we grew the idea stronger throughout the process, using the available NASA data in order to get a better user experience, and designing all the functionalities and flow. We initially encountered problems in how to setup the best machine learning and training data for it, and in the process of present our awesome idea for all the public types, but successfully went through it.

The data available at Data census API will be used for artificial intelligence training which will manage the relevance of the topics according to the user using the geolocation parameters, sex and age. In order to provide the best experience, capturing the user's interest in the subjects / areas in which their profile will be prepared to fit.
