The Isolation Solution

Social distancing policies enacted the world over during the COVID-19 pandemic have left many people socially isolated. Your challenge is to develop innovative solutions to combat social isolation.

A robot which can do majority of tasks of a nurse Using which we can cure patients while practicing social distancing.

How I Addressed This Challenge

Covid-19 is a known word in the present world. Its a global pandemic. Around 5.8 Million people have confirmed positive and more than 360k people have passed away. People getting in hospitals have a High chance of getting affected. The Doctors and nurses who are getting in touch with patients have a higher chance of getting affected. So I have made a solution using which nurses will be in less touch with patients. My solution is a robot which can do majority of tasks of a nurse. 

  1.  It can measure blood oxygen, heart rate, temperature and in the second version we will also add blood sugar and pressure. so daily checkups can be done with this robot. 
  2.   It can give patients medicine in time so they never forget about there medicine
  3.  It can disinfect places so no one have to take the risk and people getting in to the hospital will not get effected with Covid-19.
  4.  It has a transportation system so food and other Items can be delivered to patients and humans don't have to take the risk.
  5. It has a surveillance camera built in so everything can be monitored.
  6. It has an IOT app.

The whole robot can be made under 110 dollars

I believe using my robot we can have a little help in our current pandemic. 

How I Developed This Project

I already made a project named as MechaNurse. I came to know about Covid-19 Space Apps Challenge.  The Isolation Solution challenge seemed most suitable for my project That is why I chose this challenge. The Doctors and nurses who are getting in touch with patients have a higher chance of getting affected so I tried to make a solution that will reduce the amount of getting in touch with patients. NASA's code resources really helped me making my project code. I used max30100 for blood oxygen and pulse measurement,  DS18B20 for temperature measurement, 20*4 LCD  Screen for showing the data. Servo and DS3231 for medicine disposer, Relay for turning the sprayer on and off, Gear Motors and L298N for transportation, A raspberry pi camera as camera, Made the app using blynk, and used Arduino and Raspberry pi for controlling the project. I used python and C++ for programming.  I was champion at 2nd Bangladesh Robot Olympiad. I was champion in Barisal Regional Science fair 2018. I was 2nd in UGV ICT carnival and more small achievements. But the main problem I faced was for Covid-19 I couldn't get my hands on some parts so I had to use spare parts or had to scrap the feature.
