Isolation in closed environments brings about a vicious and self-destructive cycle of loneliness, laziness and apathy. Our solution combats isolation by providing an outlet for self expression as well as connection to loved ones by means of gratitude. It also encourages segmenting activities into different small spaces around the house. This allows the brain to interpret physical space in a way that simulates what life was life pre quarantine.
What really inspired us to solve this challenge is our ongoing passion to fight depression and loneliness as they are very severe conditions that people sometimes ignore. Most members of the team are fresh graduates and part of generation Z. We designed this solution keeping in mind the many hopefuls of our generation that are missing out on major milestones. Now they don't have to anymore. We investigated space agency data with ties to confinement, prolonged bedrest, fatigue and lack if physical activity to promote the idea that an active and balanced lifestyle is imperative during social distancing and isolation in confined environments. We also examined the psyche of space professionals when on long journeys away from home and used their coping mechanisms such as Journaling or video calling loved ones as part of our holistic solution. We used Android Studio to develop our application through Java. The main problem was of course time; we had very good communication and everyone finished their parts on time. But to develop the app more and make it spectacular we needed more time. We made a huge achievement by creating an app that includes artificial intelligence in it and made the app suitable for all ages. Also, the uniqueness of the app is a great achievement.
