Light the Path

The COVID-19 pandemic initiated changes in human population movements and activities around the world. Your challenge is to use Earth observations to explore how human activity and regional land-based human movement patterns may have shifted in response to COVID-19.

Summary

The project will be an API application which is installed automatically on all the mobile phones. The application relies on artificial intelligence so if you go somewhere and meet anybody, the app will record that you met this person by using GPS techniques. This will help in knowing the people who are injured, and the app will look for the nearest location of the hospitals and police offices before spreading of the disease. The app will scan your face every 20 minutes to warn you to wear a mask.

How We Addressed This Challenge

· The project addresses this challenge which is Light the Path as the Project depends on the GPS techniques to determine the region that you are located in and to know if this area contains any cases of injury or not to help you avoid the injury and if you are injured the application will guide you to the nearest hospital to check if you are injured or not.

· Also, the application makes a scan of your face to check if you are wearing a mask or not. And if someone does not stay in his home in the time of the quarantine the application will send a message to the nearest police officer to deal with this person.

· Also, it will scan your face every 20 minutes to ensure that you are wearing a mask if you are outside your home.

How We Developed This Project
  • Our inspiration in this challenge is that it helps in monitoring the changes of the movements of the populations and this would help in knowing the regions of large populations and the other regions to deal with them separately as the regions with large populations will need specific cases to deal with people and prevent them from mingling.
  • Also, we add some features to the application one of them is making a scan every 20      minutes if you are outside the home, to check your face if you are wearing a mask or not.
  • We used space agency data to know the updates and monitor the changes that happen in the world and then we tried to solve the challenge.
  • We used many tools to develop our project such as compilers (visual studio code, net beans, android studio) and we used some coding languages such as Python and Java. Also, we faced many problems starting with the idea of the project and ending with coding it but we overcome all of these problems except making the application because it needs a lot of time and experience to be done. and our achievement is making the video and adding a lot of features to the application.
