Air traffic,traffic and its consequences on COVID-19

Summary

Our project aims to determine the amount of traffic, people interaction and lockdown restriction by many ways like using phones, satellite data or even using bioindicators to track NO2 amount emitted from cars or factories and taking measures to reduce the pandemic spread

How We Addressed This Challenge

The COVID-19 pandemic case count varies from one country to another for many reasons, one of them is the speed of response of a country to the pandemic by stopping the air traffic and starting a lockdown, the cases increased dramatically in countries that were slow to respond.

Our project is about determining the impact of air traffic and traffic data collected by satellites and pictures taken by GPS in the nighttime to determine and predict areas with high infection risk and predict potential outbreak areas as areas with more traffic can transfer COVID-19 quickly internally and air traffic entering and leaving that area could transfer the disease externally to other countries creating a chain of outbreaks

We could trace people interaction with suspected disease carriers by giving each person a medical I.D on his phone and stored in satellites where each I.D demonstrate the person’s medical condition concerning COVID-19 where citizens are categorized under 3 categories infected, suspected infection and healthy, if the GPS and local network detects interactions between healthy and a suspected /infected person, warn the person and give him advice about how to avoid infecting others in case he is a disease carries and begin self-lockdown

NO2 amount can be used as a clue to find the amount of traffic and factories production in any desired area where areas with higher NO2 concentrations have higher traffic and more active factories which means higher infection risk.

The most efficient and cheapest way of tracking down NO2 concentration is using plants as bioindicators of pollution where plants like mango trees and lichens are severely affected when exposed to gases like NO2

How We Developed This Project

We chose this challenge because we found that if traffic, transportation, and crowded areas are effectively controlled, this will control the spread of the disease effectively.

We will use NASA satellites to collect mobile phone data and the distances between them and that and send them to the competent authorities, and this will help in predicting the possible places of injuries and know the areas where there is a population or traffic congestion that may be the focus of the disease and this will also help in reducing the spread of any new disease.

We have used satellite information and NASA articles and statistics via the lightmap and note the difference in numbers and the idea of ​​linking all people to each other via the satellite and improve Internet access everywhere and strengthening the network and this will help in share information and knowing the injured through their codes and this will help in Control and survival.

By developing GPS capabilities and improving communication between phones and satellites, this will provide an opportunity to learn about the injured and their places, warn others and control the general situation, as well as activate a daily examination mode where a person enters his symptoms daily continuously and sees the results to know the probability of injury of  the coronavirus and trying to control it

Adobe photoshop

Photoshop has a consistent user interface, despite its simplicity and complexity, but it is clear and easy to handle compared to other competing programs, as it allows manual access to options in addition to having automatic functions and many shortcuts.

We collected a lot of important and useful information and we faced difficulties such as time management, but we overcome it through teamwork as one team.
