The chosen challenge was “Light the Path”, due to the high concentration of people in urban areas which generates higher emissions of pollutants and Covid-19 transmission rates. With the “lockdown”, the ESA has provided data that shows that cities such as Rome and Paris have had an improvement in the air quality. Therefore, why not contribute to the environment and provide for the well-being of workers by making a home office rotation? This is the proposal of “Office Around”, an online platform used to distribute home office days between workers, which promotes a safer transition back to face-to-face activities.
The project was inspired by the population that needs to face the requirement of going back to work after the quarantine. The best solution found, according to the team’s level of knowledge, was the application. For this, the languages HTML, PHP CSS and Bootstrap were used to develop the interface. The team used Visual Studio Code. Page designs were made for the prototype. The application link: https://officearound.herokuapp.com/index.html
