Light the Path

The COVID-19 pandemic initiated changes in human population movements and activities around the world. Your challenge is to use Earth observations to explore how human activity and regional land-based human movement patterns may have shifted in response to COVID-19.

Summon

Summary

We claim that over 65-year-old people are affected most during the Coronavirus outbreak. They could not supply themselves. We offer them a wearable device that can be useful. This device has a button and when people press the button, a summon will rise on the local database which is seen by the nearest municipality. Officers will call them and ask what they need. After all, over 65-year-old people will stay their home safe.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Frankly, during the Coronavirus outbreak, people should stay home. But elderly people could not have a chance to go outside and purchase their needs. Light the path challenge gives an opportunity to prevent bad occasions in the next pandemic or natural disease. This challenge documents help us to understand how to react after another pandemic. When a group of people becomes the target of calamities, how they can be rescued.

How We Developed This Project

Our team is inspired by creating awareness about taking care of elderly people. We thought that we have a responsibility for over 65-year-old people. We saw much news about how they died in their beds without knowing. Because of that, we designed a wearable device for them to communicate with the officers when they need something. This device will include a GPS system and every municipality will use their open-source data which is generated for the age-location data-set.
