The project aims to create a mobile application - Donatello - that will show the geolocation of turtle nests, to be followed by local researchers. Satellite images will be used, provided by NASA, and through Google Maps, the nests will be indicated. The application is viable because it facilitates the collection of data, since at Donatello, they would be synthesized in a specific way for use, in addition to having the collaboration of the population with information on the location of the nests and eventual appearance of turtles.
With empty beaches, turtles were seen in regions where they had not been before, currently there is no tool to train scientists with the use of this information, the solution consists of a collaboration between the population and researchers through Donatello, a mobile application that will show the geolocation of turtle nests, to be accompanied by local researchers. Satellite images will be used, made available by NASA, and through Google Maps,
The project was developed in prototypes of navigation screens, using the adobe XD tool. We believe that this model exemplifies the objective of the project.
We used information from the Sentinel 1 satellite, which is capable of reporting on floods, considering the focus is the coastal region and has new data from 6 to 12 days (temporal resolution).
