Purify the Air Supply

Has your time spent indoors increased during the COVID-19 pandemic as a result of stay-at-home and shelter-in-place policies worldwide? Your challenge is to use the International Space Station (ISS) as inspiration and develop a system to monitor and/or purify indoor air. It is entirely up to you whether the system you design is able to be used on Earth (for example in homes, businesses, transportation, etc.) and/or in space.

Blue AIR project

Summary

The blue AIR project is looking for an easy and simple way to clean the air and make it free of pathogens.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Our group provide an solution that can make environments safes of virus by using a device that uses ultraviolet (UV) radiation, an hybrid system to recharge the system and an APP that measure the quality of the air and control the device. This kind of system has the purpose of makes the air free of pathogens.

How We Developed This Project

We have developed this project collecting and polishing ideas of the group, researching materials in the internet and Nasa data bases about experiences using ultraviolet radiation devices against COVID-19 and others pathogens.
