Purification of air was our major concern as we found out according to Nasa data that Exposure to outdoor air pollution is responsible for an estimated 4 million premature deaths annually with about another 3-4 million resulting from exposure to indoor air pollution.
Since air filters are the main components, it was concluded that the best one to use would be an HPA (High Efficiency Particular Air) filter, which can filter particles up to (0.3 microns) small, knowing that the smallest covid-19 particle has a diameter about (0.6 microns)
To make it more beneficial, it will be connected to a mobile application that will allow people in the surrounding area to monitor the air condition though simple graphs and figures. It will also notify them if there is coronavirus in the air. Moreover, the application will be sending daily tips to keep healthy during the outbreak and it will connect people with doctors and experts if they have any concerns. This will be done by the help of IOT advanced technology.
First of all we made a survey - https://forms.gle/HvYCuvpCwkHtTYu97 - to know how people see the pandemic, their answers were inspirational in many ways especially in choosing the challenge and developing it. We were aware that having purified air will be helpful and that’s why we made our “Life Provider” device which is presented and elaborated in our website. The website we made aims to present our idea of purifying air and solving the challenge, it also shows our survey’s results as well (or will be added later on). It is made up of HTML5, CSS and a little bit of JS. Basically, we used HTML for the skeleton of the website and for linking the web-page, CSS for the unique design and JS to change the year next to the copyrights in the footer automatically. We used navigation bar, articles, and a bunch of other dividers to make sure it’s well organised and easy for the user to deal with. Users can easily reach to the web-page they like by clicking on the photo description which is linked by html. We also have our reference list which will be added too. We still have many future plans regarding the website, including showing the survey’s results, discussing and elaborating more and adding more features that will improve the design as well.
