Purify the Air Supply

Has your time spent indoors increased during the COVID-19 pandemic as a result of stay-at-home and shelter-in-place policies worldwide? Your challenge is to use the International Space Station (ISS) as inspiration and develop a system to monitor and/or purify indoor air. It is entirely up to you whether the system you design is able to be used on Earth (for example in homes, businesses, transportation, etc.) and/or in space.

Project-42

Summary

Scarlet is an Air Purify System, named Scarlet, to help who work in closed places and also need to attend these places, with a practical dehumidifier allocated in strategic places all over the area, by dehumidifying possible droplets containing pathogens, more specifically the coronavirus, Scarlet can eliminate 98% of the pathogens transmitted by droplets of saliva and for the future better prevention from pathogens who are transmitted on the air.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Scarlet purify the air, providing a better air quality inside the closed environments.

How We Developed This Project

Actually it's a very funny history, first, my team was discussing to develop software, two days before the beginning of the challenge, a few hours after the beginning we change our idea and star talk about closed areas and comes to the idea about controlling the humidity inside those  areas after we research about the coronavirus biological characteristics, then we start to develop an ar "purify system", that capture and filter droplets of saliva that can carry pathogens, totally out of our skills because all members are ou wanted to study computer science in college, but also we are very happy because we grow up and develop new skills and interests in other areas of knowledge.
