Purify the Air Supply

Has your time spent indoors increased during the COVID-19 pandemic as a result of stay-at-home and shelter-in-place policies worldwide? Your challenge is to use the International Space Station (ISS) as inspiration and develop a system to monitor and/or purify indoor air. It is entirely up to you whether the system you design is able to be used on Earth (for example in homes, businesses, transportation, etc.) and/or in space.

Summary

Our challenge is to purify and monitor the air quality on closed places as the Earth and the Space. This idea also could be projected for long duration space missions. The solution is to clean 99% of the air from bacteria and viruses, as make it breathable, adding moisture to it.

How We Addressed This Challenge

We decided in our project to create an air filter with quality and efficiency to contain viruses and bacteria. As it is an air statization device, it meets the need for decontamination of air in the environment and even making it more pleasant, as also humidifies, making more pleasant, as reduces the amount of particles suspended in the air.

How We Developed This Project

Some people are born with allergic processes and are more vulnerable to bacteria and viruses that attack the respiratory system. Thinking about these issues, we carried out a study of what would be best for homes, adding people's health and comfort, as it also humidifies the environment, making it more pleasant.
