Oxganic is a project that is used for purification of indoor air. It basically consist of a fan to pull in the polluted air from its surrounding, passes the air through different filters (Pre-filter, High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter and bio-filter) and finally push out the fresh air. First, air passes through pre-filter which traps larger dust particles and hairs. Then HEPA filter removes the dust particles, pollen, and other pollutants of size smaller or equal to 0.3 micro-meter. After coming out from the HEPA filter, air goes through the number of biological filter beds made up with organic Bacteria and fungi. Bio filter filters out the volatile organic compounds and odor from the air.

Global warming is increasing rapidly along with various other environmental crises and problems, we researched and found out that the air we breathe is highly polluted with the presence of various harmful chemicals coming out of the factories, fuels, etc.
Looking at the present condition of air quality within the indoor and outdoor environment, we found various health issues uprising along with various chronic diseases in humans as well as animals. To reduce such chronic diseases that occur due to the presence of VOCs, odours, particulate matters, etc in polluted air, we(Team The VEX) came up with an idea of targeting the solution for indoor air quality control. Our main approach on making this project was to mitigate the indoor air problems and remove the by-products that were produced from the air purifiers. With bio-filtration, it becomes nature friendly and a better approach to balanced development. We researched on the space agency data where there was converting CO2, urine, and other by-products where again recycled to O2 in space which is a great idea, so we used these concepts and tried to convert those wasteful products into something useful. Our project,Oxganic, is completely based on mechanical systems where we use HEPA filters, air chambers, bio-filters. Their synchronized working methods will lead us to a better product.
The idea of this was to purify air to a great extent, for that we need to face about the ways and procedures. Which substance should we choose so that it is nature friendly, less use of chemicals, and most important, after using our system there won't come any such by products which are harmful for anything. As an achievement, we would like to say that we got a broad knowledge about how the condition of air is, and we could also help in some extent for its mitigation.
