We worked on challenge 1 - Quiet Planet (environmental changes perceived after the pandemic), assessing the problems and highlighting the large number of fires and the fact that people do not have access to this information easily, in addition, the fires affect the health system, which is a much needed resource during the pandemic, so we had the idea of notifying everyone in the region in real time, so that people could travel far and for the responsible agencies to act on the fire more quickly, hence the importance of the project: streamline the extinguishing process of forest fires.
The inspiration for the choice of challenge 1 was inspired by deforestation in the Amazon, which had the highest number of fires in the last three years according to our research. We addressed the theme of fires in the Amazon in an easy way to be understood and bringing safe information to people. In our project we used data from the space agency to show the consequences of the fires and we used the world fire map for informate and notify the people and agencies responsible about them. We use Ionic Creator as a tool that works with HTML, JavaScript and CSS. But we had problems with the database connection in the tool used and were able to program the application screens without the backend. So, we plan to work on backend and learn more about it after this 48h, and complete the app.
For the realization of the project we use the following data:
