Quiet Planet

The COVID-19 outbreak and the resulting social distancing recommendations and related restrictions have led to numerous short-term changes in economic and social activity around the world, all of which may have impacts on our environment. Your challenge is to use space-based data to document the local to global environmental changes caused by COVID-19 and the associated societal responses.

It's from heaven that corona virus has attacked us !

Summary

We never expected that the virus would be on our side despite its damage . it has helped us to solve many crises which the world has been suffering from for several years,,, which is summarized in the following:★ *carbon dioxide emissions have dropped to unprecedented low during pandamic*This is what made the environment breathe for the first time after decades.★ *the climate regains its balance after decades*Nasa has shown a marked decrease in nitrogen dioxide from cars exhausts and the fac

How We Addressed This Challenge

★ In the period in which the virus appeared and embargo was imposed on peoples, some climate changes occurred.

★ The project also clarifies the relation of the virus with urban sprawl, desert environment and negetation removal,,which were on our side.

★ The project illustrates the relation of rhe virus to :

– reducing the effects on the ozone hole.

– reducing thaw at the poles.

– Air purifier.

★★★★ The most important thing from this pandemic is how important it is to focus on developing scientific research and medicine , not nuclear weapons.

How We Developed This Project

What inspired us to choose this challenge is that our team is interested in studying the negative things and infering the positive things from them as we are looking at NASA data and we also found that our team is interested in environmental changes, whether local or global .

With more research and continuing to monitor these changes and follow them in addition to that we can publish these news among peoples in order to continue in quarantine and that is a great factor in encouraging them to win against the virus and in addition to that we will address the environment from the effects of humans on it.

We used NASA data and esa  to cite environmental changes, both local and global.

We have documented environmental changes and have found benefits in the midst of a pandemic that threatens us

Project Demo

The covid-19 led to quarantine, thus not cutting down forests, thus protecting the animals that live in the forest from extinction .

When global warming decreases, this causes the poles to shrink less

When global warming decreased, the water coordinator in the seas and oceans did not rise

We must spread this news among people in order to encourage them to adhere to quarantine, which makes us go through that pandemic because it is to this that nature recovers.

Reduced air travel, as well as transportation in general industrial activity, etc., has caused a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions (CO-CO 2, methane CH-4), as well as polluting gases such as CO- (mainly from transportation) and nitrogen oxide This led to a decrease in the rate of global warming.
