First according to: SDG 11 “Sustainable Cities and Communities “
Crowdedness of people in the same place reads to death thousands of people daily due to Coronavirus “COVID-19” . a lot of people are in need to know if the place they want to go is crowded or no to reduce the probability of getting infected with the virus. The idea of our project is to know If the place you are going is crowded or empty, this great application will decrease the number of injuries by coronavirus also it will decrease the pollution.
Second according to “SDG 2, Zero Hunger”
Unfortunately, COVID-19 made a great effect on the poor, many of them can’t work due to coronavirus so they don’t have enough money to buy their food, In our project, we will provide healthy food with a little money, In our application, you can buy your food from the company directly instead of carriage of goods between sellers, also this feature will decrease the crowdedness of people
Third according to SDG 3 " Health and Well Being "
By using the first 2 features in our application the number of deaths and illnesses will decrease, also the app provides an alarm that notifies you about taking care of yourself by using alcohol when you will go out or by washing your hands continuously.
We chose our challenge because of the impact of coronavirus on many of the sustainable development goals and how it affected many people such as
SDG1: coronavirus affected this goal directly as it led to a loss of income for a large percentage of people which made many families fall under the poverty line.
SDG2: The standards of controlling virus spread, quarantine, reduced work hours led to disruption in food production and distribution, this may lead to a decrease in the supply of food and it's availability in some areas.
SDG3: COVID-19 showed many negative sides of healthcare field worldwide, the most important of which is the lack of hospitals, shortage of medical supplies and devices such as ventilators, it also showed no advance plans to deal with such emergency disasters which led to high numbers of deaths worldwide.
SDG4: The pandemic also showed that most countries aren't ready for remote education systems. Consequently, this will affect the opportunities for many students to learn especially for those who don't have opportunities for out-of-school education such as families with low income which has fewer opportunities to access internet and childcare services.
SDG8: The pandemic crisis affected the workforce all over the world which prompted many countries to provide immediate assistance to companies and workers to protect them especially informal employment and daily-wage workers.
SDG10-Coronavirus caused an indirect impact on this goal as the crisis will widen the gap between classes especially for poor families in remote areas with no internet access or healthcare availability, Unprotected workers as self-employed, workers are more likely to be hit with the virus as they don't have access to paid healthcare and less protected by social protection, also migrants, refugees and people in jail will face these issues
SDG11: People living in slams have a greater risk to the high population and poor sanitation conditions
*We developed our project to help people throughout coronavirus,, rebuild the society and infrastructure after this crisis and getting ready for any other medical or educational crisis.
*We used space agency graphs and remote sensing data to study the nature of changes that happened due to COVID-19 pandemic and understand how to get to a solution.
*We used Android Studio to develop our application, Cameras on satellites were used to collect data about people gatherings and crowds, we used AI To predict the gatherings' times and to predict the real numbers of crowds by using a atio of registered users on the application to real numbers
*We faced many problems such as creating partnerships and surely many bugs and crashes , Teamwork was our essential concept we used to attain achievements and accomplish stated goals, Teamwork brought to us with diverse experiences , skills and work histories, creating fertile ground for brainstorming and creative problem-solving, being participants in the challenge we learned many skills (especially researching and problem-solving skills ) and gained many experiences.
