This challenge invites you to analyze the impact of COVID-19 on the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by looking at the current and ongoing change in the monitoring indicators of the UN SDGs using Earth observation/remote sensing and global Earth system model-derived analysis products.

Summary

YourInnovators is a platform that aims to link worldwide volunteers.It will launch a variety of challenges that concern achieving four SDGs: Zero Hunger, sustainable development, Health and Well Being, Clean Water and sanitation.Users are invited to choose one of theses challenges and post their creative volunteering idea that helps to solve one of the indicators of the SDG chosen.Our platform's purpose is to create a wide network conscious, motivated, and ready to realize SDGs over the world.

How We Addressed This Challenge

YourInnovators addresses to the SDG and covid-19 challenge in a variety of aspects.

YourInnovators platform gives access to three SDG categories. So the user can create his own challenge that matches the indicators chosen by the SDG, for example; users can participate with their creative actions to help improve water quality, reduce pollution, or increase food production.

Users can rank, and promote the best idea to spread more and more. Furthermore, the idea that realizes the higher score can benefit from funding and incubation offered by our sponsors.

The purpose of our platform is based on powering volunteering, motivation, creativity, and sharing.

How We Developed This Project

I N N O V A T O R S got inspired by our current global context of COVID-19 and how It is impacting the whole world in general, and our daily life in particular.

This situation incited us to think about people who already live in hard conditions, and how they deal with it right now, especially problems of health, accessibility of clean water and energy, hunger and economic issues. For that reason, we create this idea that can help to solve this kind of problems in a very intelligent way that motivates people around the world to join each other, hand by hand to make an end to our community's issues.

Spreading the sence of volunteer and reducing other's suffering is the reason behind creating YourInnovators.

Getting inspired is just the first step to build a project, as a team we needed the database that empowers our project inspiration, for this reason, we based on the space agencies data and UN information by extracting excel tables from their database. This last acknowledges users and enables them to identify the area's need.

With efforts made by the team members, we were able to find a suitable idea to the context of the SDG. We divided missions(design, content, programming, and coding ..) between us, we exploited the available data and resources to develop the project idea and ensure its effectiveness.

We created the site in a very limited time, thanks to our team harmony and the combination of ideas and efforts of all team members.
