Our challenge was to make a derived data analysis project that addresses the impact of COvid 19 on the sustainable development goals targets and indicators. To achieve this we build a data analysis article. This article first describes each goal clearly with its targets and indicators affecting those targets then it tracks the progress toward achieving this target. The most important thing our project does is the third step that addresses the impact of COVID 19 pandemic on each SDG the last part of the article talks about how to overcome negative impacts and how to make good use of positive ones to keep following the UN agenda for 2030 and that is how our project will help agencies, national and global organizations that are responsible for targeting UN SDGs.
Our team consists of 6 STEM students so we are familiar with using and analyzing data also we have huge experience in applying subjects we learn about in real-life projects to solve national and global challenges. Many of these challenges are relative to SDGs, so we were really encouraged to apply for this challenge as we believe that we have the skills and abilities to create a good solution. Not only our abilities but also the data that was offered to us by the space agencies like NASA and JAXA helps us a lot in creating a valuable solution based on several space data from all around the world. This data gives us a lot of numerical data from several places that were the base of our article but having data without knowing how to make it useful is nothing though we to apply many skills like analyzing data in a proper way to get the most accurate results and that is what we did in this project. Having problems mean that you are on the right way, so no team can solve a challenge without having problems. For us the most difficult part was searching about space data we need but to overcome this we continue searching about data until we get the right information and that give us the ability to search about information more easily in the future.
