Where There’s a Link, There’s a Way

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, there has been a proliferation of websites and portals developed to share resources about the topic. Your challenge is to find innovative ways to present and analyze integrated, real-time information about the environmental factors affecting the spread of COVID-19.

Global information compliation

Summary

I speak on behalf of the basement of knowledge team. Do you remember when we used different platforms? well, whatsapp integrated all that. our idea is to create a portal that integrates all information about Covid-19. from simple information for ordinary people to scientific articles and a database for researchers. For this we will use data provided by NASA and government agencies. Thereby helping to combat Covid-19.

How We Addressed This Challenge

There is a lot of information on the internet about COVID 19, but this information is dispersed on several sites, we propose to link different contents related to COVID 19, unifying everything in a single portal, where it can be found from simple data to scientific arctic. For this we use several sources . The intention is that the user uses the portal to search for everything related to COVID 19. Below are some examples of aggregated sources.

How We Developed This Project

Our inspiration for this project and the subject choice was basically the same, our team believes that access to reliable information on the internet is not easily found, and that we could help by making a great compilation of the facts. With people having access to quality information, the spread of fake news about the pandemic could be avoided, news that are oftenly harmful to the population's health.

Discussing about what kind of information it would be important to show on the portal, we came to the conclusion that we could not only have information for the lay public, but technical information is also needed for the medical and scientific community. Since our team has people from different areas of knowledge , we were able to establish what kind of information is most important to present, using data from NASA websites and other government agencies and even from private companies. In the end, the partial result can be seen on the link to our prototype.
