Where There’s a Link, There’s a Way

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, there has been a proliferation of websites and portals developed to share resources about the topic. Your challenge is to find innovative ways to present and analyze integrated, real-time information about the environmental factors affecting the spread of COVID-19.

PUBG ''Season 14''

Summary

As COVID-19 pandemic began, Lots of resources have been hosted by various institutions gaining low interaction, which is not sufficient in reaching needed awareness to overcome this epidemic. Therefore, we decided to reach people's minds in another innovative way, which is PUBG season 14 with COVID-19 Theme. Whoever abides by the instructions to avoid injury will be THE WINNER.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Since COVID-19 pandemic began, there has been a proliferation of websites and portals developed to share resources about the topic. But not everyone is interested in these sources.

But what the world agreed upon now is PUBG Game, as the number of players has reached 200 million players around the world, in addition to 10 million players per day. With these statistics, we can reach the largest number of people, we have decided to deliver integrated, real-time information and warnings about COVID-19 to people's minds in an easy, simple, and innovative way for all ages. Just as countries fight this epidemic with all their energy, money and armies, we decided to make civilians also feel something of this war, so that everyone knows the seriousness of the pandemic and works to avoid it and be immune from it as much as possible. We did not find a way closer to the hearts and minds of all ages as CO-PUBG. Also, PUBG can be opened from windows or mobile phones.

Our idea is to submit making season 14 with COVID 19 and NASA resources to PUBG's creative team, is can include those new features:

      1. Game begins with a preliminary display of Corona rates in available places to land on. Our map, which we designed on a scientific basis, is shown based on JAXA sources related to COVID-19 (Where infection rates are displayed in all regions, as some regions decrease in temperature and humidity, and as a result, injury rates rise) , The map also shows places where human activities are increasing to warn players about the danger of these places and their high rates of infection and to stay away from them as possible.

        2. There is an Immune Health indicator, which shows your immune health and reducing it will affect your speed, to avoid reducing you must follow the following keys:

  • Avoid being in Black Zone (it appears in places with high Corona rates).
  • Stay home when it comes (30 seconds for areas with high corona levels in daily life).
  • Keep apart from enemies or friends with at least 5 meters.
  • Take CO-AIR Drops that contain FaceMasks, Gloves and Corona Killer.

       3.  Infection rates are high on beaches and the places filled with players. So, try avoiding them (keeping distance is the way to keep yourself alive).

       4. You can't get in the same car with another player without wearing FaceMask & you can't drive without wearing Gloves.

       5. Players will receive different daily missions, according to the latest developments in COVID-19 every day.

       6. The instructions will be updated from time to time based on the latest updates reached by scientists on how to avoid the epidemic further, in order to ensure that we deliver the largest amount of information to the largest group of humanity.

Finally, Those who adhere to instructions, warnings, and wearing masks are the least likely to be injured or killed and are most likely to beat all players (He is THE WINNER).

How We Developed This Project

Integration is like a rule of nature; everything is linked with others, and that’s what inspired us to choose this challenge. We developed this game aiming to increase public awareness of people around the world. We made this through using the trend of PUBG game; this game is played worldwide by a wide range of ages. This game is also very successful as it took many prizes when it was released to the market. We changed some major features in the game like the helmets, the maps, and the drinks and we put face masks, another map, and vitamins instead. We made some rules that increase public awareness also. Nasa resources were very helpful as we used the thermal map and put it instead of the original map of the game as this thermal map shows the hot places on the earth and we also knew from the resources that Coronavirus spreads more in the hot areas. We also knew the precautions of self-protection from one of the resources which helped us to develop the features of the game. Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) is a credible resource that we used in creating the innovative funny way (CO-PUBG mobile game). We took the CO-PUBG map from JAXA and the world health organization (WHO) with many creative options to know the sea surface temperature during the game and to know the cloud type in all regions to decide the best place to fly in it with your plane. Also, the CO-PUBG map can show you the regions with wildfire in the world. While making our video we used some programs like adobe premiere pro, photoshop, and photo grid. We didn’t build code so we recommend using c++, java, python and other programming languages to build a realistic version for the game. We had some main problems while working on this project but we turned them all into challenges and we came over them; first, all of us weren’t good at video editing but we took it as a challenge and two of us learned this skill to make the video, second, the programming of this game needs an expert and we’re not but we also came over it by making some photo edits to screenshots from the original game and some other designs and we clarified our point by a very simple and initial code.
