Where There’s a Link, There’s a Way

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, there has been a proliferation of websites and portals developed to share resources about the topic. Your challenge is to find innovative ways to present and analyze integrated, real-time information about the environmental factors affecting the spread of COVID-19.

Dream Project

Summary

The application consists in defining criticality levels for a specific area with a number of cases in the region, with this "micro" view we can think in effective and separate plans for solving problems in applied situations. Once we have this data and these levels of criticality, we also deliver to the user who wants to take the exam a possibility to track a better route to a hospital that has a greater availability for attendance.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Our project seeks to innovate by treating the data provided by the institutions, with another way of visualizing the problem, we also think of the problem with a "micro" view that, by seeing this way, we are able to inform different residents of different regions whether or not he is in a risk zone, if he is, care must be doubled. We also use the data in an accessible way, it is possible to receive an SMS when there is a peak in your region, as well managing to tackle the problem in a different way.

How We Developed This Project

The project was developed with members ideas based on how to handle the data exposed by NASA and other institutions, we did an analysis of the problem, we searched for relevant information and data and in these researches we saw that our biggest inspiration was the Worldpop (platform made available by NASA), we found the concept of showing the density of covid cases in a country interesting and we wanted to make this possible for others, so the idea of creating areas on the map based on the number of cases in the region, thus defining high risk and critical areas at intersections. With that we can warn residents of the region and make this data available so that it can be an effective plan was made for that area and better management in hospitals, thus helping the user to have the best hospital at their disposal when they need it.
