Where There’s a Link, There’s a Way

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, there has been a proliferation of websites and portals developed to share resources about the topic. Your challenge is to find innovative ways to present and analyze integrated, real-time information about the environmental factors affecting the spread of COVID-19.

MOM (Medicine Of Mars)

Summary

Based on COVID-19 pandemic which has affected the whole world recently and is also the subject our challenges, we observed that similar virus/diseases turn into a global problem, affect in a negative way the world system, because of the procees that at the very begining of the problem which will show up in the new world order with psychological traumas people's desire not to go out and this anormal system may be risk factor in the future.

How We Addressed This Challenge

WE SAID WHAT WE CAN DO, AND...

Based on our problem, we started with the question of what it would be like, if a situation which didn't go well is detected before people became ill and a time was created for early diagnosis. That blood, temperature and pulse analysis can be done individually for each person in 14-day periods, that people can be tracked with a mobile device tracking system to report continuity every 14 days, that with gathering the data in a pool and enabling the person to access the disease story in possible situation, to find a time-saving system with the measurements and determinations to be made, that according to the data collected, there are working services in order to stay in a hospital or home according to the condition of the person who is understood to be a carrier or a patient - With this solution, we also solve the fact that it acts with the psychological confidence that it is in contact with the sick people by adapting to social life outside - to prevent possible expenditures in the field of hospitals and health by going to the pre-disease stage, not post-disease, by being included in health policies by the state in the oncoming stages and by doing this method, we also solve the problems related to personal health, the scope of Health and Quality Life, which is also the 3rd Goal of the UN Development Goals. Informing the person about the results with short and clear answers in order to feel good, however, by considering the space design method that the details will be allowed to be accessed by the officials nearby to the user, we would have resolved our problems if every individual had a product or kit that would be easy to use in every household as efficient, light and easy to install.

Here’s is...

How We Developed This Project

In this project, we designed a Health Kit that can be used in every home / hospital.

The content of this kit which consisting of a total of 3 pieces;

× Health Sphere

× Thermometer In-Ear Headphone

× Pulse Height Analyzer Wristband / Smart Watch

HEALTH SPHERE

This sphere, which is the size of a volleyball ball in diameter, has IOT technology. With the Arduino system, özel bir steril iğneyle elini yüzeyinde parmak noktalarına yerleştiren kişinin yüzük parmağının ucundan kan alacak ve analiz edecektir. It will alarm when virus infected blood cells are found. It will also transmit the data it collects from the In-Ear Headphone and Smart Bracelet / Smart Watch objects with IOT technology to the satellite.

IN-EAR HEADPHONE

Measuring body temperature from the ear with the help of interchangeable pods in each use, this product will transmit the collected body temperature information to the sphere.

SMART WRISTBAND / SMART WATCH

The wrist-worn Smart Bracelet will measure the person's pulse and transmit the information it collects to the sphere. The person with the watch can also connect to the sphere with wifi without using the wristband. Thanks to the image processing, the transaction of QR code will start. Communication will ensure thanks to the Raspberry Pi and Arduino into the clock and headset. Data collected from temperatures and pulse sensors will be displayed with an analog-digital convertor.

HOW MANY HOMES IN TURKEY?

In the 2020 Presidential Annual Program included housing data registered in the system in the country. Accordingly, as of the end of September 2019, the number of registered houses in the Address Based Population Registration System was 38.4 million, including residences, summer / seasonal housing and abuilding housing.

WHAT IS THE WORLD POPULATION NOW?

When the United Nations Population Projection is examined, the growing world population will reach 8.3 billion in 2020, 9.4 billion in 2030, 10.3 billion in 2040 and 12 billion in 2050.

UN Sustainable Devolopment Goal 3: Good health and well-being

Life expectancy has increased dramatically; infant and maternal mortality rates have declined, we’ve turned the tide on HIV and malaria deaths have halved and others.

How many active observation satellites are in the world?

Today, there are 1957 active satellites in the world orbit. This number will soon increase exponentially due to reduced costs, more countries turning to space technologies, new types of internet connections, scientific studies and other areas of communication.

How many active observation satellites does Turkey have?

Turkey has 6 satellites. 3 of them  for observation and 3 of them for comminication. While Rasat, Göktürk-1 and Göktürk-2 satellites are used for observation ,Türksat 3A, Türksat 4A and Türksat 4B satellites meet the need for communication.

MARTIANS T+6

Idris Albayrak, from Adana, Turkey. I studied Physics Engineering during 2 years at University of Gaziantep then I've worked at Science Centers as Mars Lecturer. I'm gonna start Space Engineering in this September in Samara/Russia. In this times, I'm sharing Mars videos on my Youtube channel and talking with new generation about Mars. My aim is working as Scientist on Mars in 2030.

Cansu Demir, Student in the Faculty of Law. She is a space lover, works on technology and law.

Menekse Yasar, Mechanical Engineering student aims to be an astronaut. She is interested in electronics and software, learns different programming languages. She takes part in ROV and Solar Car projects.

Muzaffer Sinca, He is studying IT in high school. Designer mechanical electronic aerodynamic software developer.

Berkant Karapaca, High school student, artificial intelligence favorite about software and cyber security for 6 years

Mursel Haspulat, 5th year Pediatric Surgery assistant doctor at Istanbul Medical School. At the same time IU. MHAS A.Ş., located in Entertech I am CEO and co-founder. I graduated from Istanbul Erkek Lisesi in 2009 and from Istanbul Medical School in 2015. Immediately afterwards, I had the opportunity to be a research assistant at Oxford University Neuroimmunology laboratory for 3 months and then as an observer at Cambridge University Neurology Clinic for 1 month. When it came to the specialty exam, my love of surgery prevailed and I turned and started pediatric surgery in my faculty. I understood the importance of team spirit and interdisciplinary approach in surgical discipline. This multidisciplinary philosophy motivated me to work towards integrating medicine and technology.
