Where There’s a Link, There’s a Way

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, there has been a proliferation of websites and portals developed to share resources about the topic. Your challenge is to find innovative ways to present and analyze integrated, real-time information about the environmental factors affecting the spread of COVID-19.

ConnectVid

Summary

ConnectVID is a platform that integrates environmental and Covid-19 data around the world.

How We Addressed This Challenge

ConnectVid is a real-time platform that helps researchers understand how these factors of climate and Covid-19 disease relate.

How We Developed This Project

What inspired was the opening of possibilities for solutions due to the fact that there is no platform that integrates the environmental factors and characteristics of Covid-19. Environmental issues are essential themes for our daily lives and it is important to democratize this access for the population.

We use a satellite image API to locate regions: Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC).

PROBLEMS: the team needed a front-end developer, UX designer and environmental professional to assist in data interpretation. ACHIEVEMENTS: we really took the idea off the paper. It was not in the best of the minimum conditions. However, we moved on.

Our tools: node-red, Amazon AWS EC2, javascript, css, html.

Our solution

The project addressed meteorological data.

There is a lack of platforms and virtual panels that integrate the results of the research on the current environmental links to the dissemination of COVID-19. Our solution proposal is an unique platform that gathers environmental and health data to combat covid-19. It is a real-time platform that helps researchers understand how these factors relate.
