The challenge is about solving covid-19’s effect on mission in remote places, one of the effects is that people are working from home and that can result in an inefficient communication between the scientist in their mission and the backup team as this is a new situation for all of them. Thinking about that, this project has the goal to improve communication channels by creating a chatbot to assist in supplies and medical need.
As Brazilians we identified ourselves with the proposal because we thought about the difficulties that this pandemic is causing in native Brazilian people who live in remote places. Even though the focus of this project is not the native people, we were able to create an analogy between them and the teams that are researching remote places. We used the data to figure out which countries have the most mission in far places, and then we crossed this data with the countries more affected with corona virus crisis. Turns out that Russia and United States are the 2 countries with the higher numbers of researches, and they are featuring in the top-3 nations with higher covid-19 deaths. If they are still conducting researches, they need a back up team in the civilization, but this back up team are working at home what can result in an inefficient communication. Therefore, we developed a way to improve the communication between them.
We used flowchart technique to describe the algorithm. Our main issue with this project was to create an idea that could be applicable, we had started other ideas that in the middle of the process we got stuck and couldn’t move forward, therefore, we had to re-think our project several times.
