The Art of It All

What have you learned about yourself or the world as a result of living through the COVID-19 pandemic? Your challenge is to express your experience of living through this historic time through a work of art.

Summary

My experience is not solely mine.

How I Addressed This Challenge

My project is to tell that there is more than just one side to everything, even through this pandemic.

How I Developed This Project

I only went outside once for a school requirement and I remember feeling the excitement on the idea of seeing how the center of our city was doing. I was satisfied that some essential establishments are still operating but other than that scene, I had no idea what was happening to the rest.

Social Media.

My main source of information for the outside world was the convenient technology available. Scrolling through other people's content on their accounts gave me the conclusion that everything will be alright.

But wasn't my conclusion biased? I haven't even seen everything.

Using digital art, I created simple shapes to tell the story of my project.

The background image is the the "glowing gas in the milky way" that gave (a literal) shine to the piece.
