Our App suppresses boredom during this lock down by providing all the necessary things, such as entertainment and news updates, one may need during the lock down. This directly relates to the isolation solution.
We first started off by creating a ML model for predicting stock prices, which we intended to make a whole app only related on that. But after coming across this challenge, we thought, "why stop there?", so we decided to implement more features that we thought would cure the boredom during this lock down. We used NASA's news API to get all the latest news from their site and also got their ISS live streams and podcasts and updated it to our app. We used Python for our ML Models, and used Ionic angular for the main mobile app. The main problem we ran into was getting data from a database, which took many hours to research and solve to get it right, this also leads into our biggest achievement on figuring out how to get data, basically from anywhere, and posting it on our mobile app.
