Light the Path

The COVID-19 pandemic initiated changes in human population movements and activities around the world. Your challenge is to use Earth observations to explore how human activity and regional land-based human movement patterns may have shifted in response to COVID-19.

Find the Light

Summary

We analyzed light and chlorophyll a data using NASA's database to determine how human movement and activity changed as a result of the quarantine from the COVID pandemic

How We Addressed This Challenge

This challenge's goal was to figure out how human activity has changed as a result of the pandemic. Our project accomplishes this by using data to display what has changed, and using reserach to explain what this change means and what the possible ramifications are.

How We Developed This Project

We decided to choose this specific topic because while we may not have the knowledge the other challenges require, we can use the public data to make our own inferences. Our biggest asset was the WorldView program on NASA's website, as we could see the measurements at specific days.
