Where There’s a Link, There’s a Way

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, there has been a proliferation of websites and portals developed to share resources about the topic. Your challenge is to find innovative ways to present and analyze integrated, real-time information about the environmental factors affecting the spread of COVID-19.

Covid-19 Risk Monitor and Recommendation App

Summary

The Covid-19 Risk Monitor and Recommendation app is a tool for local governments to quickly analyze the potential of an outbreak and what response measures are appropriate for their conditions. Data from global sources is aggregated and analyzed to show best practices in virus prevention and containment based on the level of risk. Quick access and visualization will improve decision making times and save lives.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Our project addresses the challenge by taking in critical data on the spread of Covid-19 globally and then creating a user interface that visualizes risk indicators and provides recommendations that local governments can use to make fast life-saving decisions. We use data from countries around the world that visualizes the various risks that can cause an outbreak.

How We Developed This Project

We used the most critical data that can predict outbreaks that can be used to help government officials make faster decisions. We're a global team located in Pakistan, Egypt, Cyprus (Russian trapped there), and the USA. We used Miro to develop ideas, pull together our research, and create a user interface. We communicated with the Discord App in writing and on voice chat. Github was used as our code repository.
